Yesterday was the Olympic badminton final 2012, and my oh my what a game!! I have never watched something like this before!!!!
Everyone was hoping to see a spectacular final showdown and nobody was disappointed. The match practically set our hearts on a roller coaster ride. The marks were so close........
Tough fight, arch rivals on court , friends forever
Chong Wei lost to Lin Dan in a rubber game......
It was such a long journey for him. Chong Wei almost couldn't make it for the Olympics!!! When he was playing against Lin Dan ( again) during the Thomas Cup, he sprained his ankle!!!!
He had to stop training and undergo stem cell treatment, and goodness before he played any game, he had to take painkillers!!!!
Oh yes, we are of course sad that he didn't make it, but imagine our feelings when we saw him crying on television....... My oh my.......
But I am so proud of him!!!!!! He is indeed our hero!!!
He won our hearts, we love you Chong Wei!!!!! =)
Letter to Chong Wei
Dear Chong Wei,
Thank you, really a big thank you for making us Malaysians so proud!!! Thank you for giving your best , in spite of all the things that you have been through. Thank you for not giving up , thank you for the past commitments, practices, smashes and hard work. I can assure you it is well paid off. You are truly a precious diamond that Malaysia has ever produced !! We love you!!!
Please, please don't feel bad about the game. I personally feel that it is one of your best game!!!You have let us witness the spirit of One Malaysia, and thank you for making yourself available for badminton!! Thank you for everything!!!
As for now, I think you truly deserve a good, long rest. I believe there are more to come in this colourful journey of yours. I am happy for you that you and Lin Dan are friends( yeah, it seemed so unbelievable....). Of course, next year is your big year eh???
